Museum Membership

Membership is a great way to enjoy the Museum all year long and can pay for itself with just ONE visit. Members receive free Exhibit Halls admission for a year, free and discounted tickets to some of our most popular attractions, invitations to members-only events, and discounts in the Museum garage, café, and store.

Savings for Individuals

US Active Military Members

All active US service members are welcome free of charge upon showing their Geneva Conventions Common Access Card (CAC). You must bring your Military ID in order to enter the Museum. Upon arrival, present you ID directly at the Exhibit Halls entrance. Entry is for the active duty military member – any guests will need a separate form of admission.

Veterans on Veterans Day

On November 11, we are pleased to offer veterans complimentary admission to our Exhibit Halls. Upon arrival, please present your DD Form 2 or DD214 directly at the Exhibit Halls entrance.

Military Families – Blue Star Museums

Between Armed Forces Day and Labor Day (3rd week in May through Labor Day), we are pleased to offer free admission to active duty US military personnel and up to 5 family members. Qualified members must show a Geneva Convention common access card (CAC), DD Form 1173 ID card (dependent ID), or a DD Form 1173-1 ID card for entrance.

The free admission program is available for those currently serving in the United States Military–Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard–including Reservists, National Guardsman (regardless of status), U.S. Public Health Commissioned Corps, NOAA Commissioned Corps, and up to five family members. The military ID holder can be either an active-duty service member or other dependent family member with the appropriate ID card. The active-duty member does not have to be present to use the program.

Card to Culture and Museums For All

You must bring your card/s in order to enter the Museum. Upon arrival, present your card/s directly at the Exhibit Halls entrance.

The Museum of Science is pleased to participate in the Card to Culture and Museums for All programs by extending discounts to EBT, WIC, and ConnectorCare health plan insurance cardholders.

EBT: EBT cards allow up to 4 free Exhibit Halls admissions per day. Card to Culture is a collaboration between the Mass Cultural Council and the Executive Office of Health and Human Services' Department of Transitional Assistance. Learn more.

The Museum is also a member of Museums For All. EBT cards from states outside of Massachusetts can receive 4 free Exhibit Halls admission per day. Museums for All is the Institute of Museum and Library Services’ (IMLS) access program.

WIC: WIC cards allow up to 4 free Exhibit Halls admissions. Card to Culture is a collaboration between the Mass Cultural Council and the Department of Public Health's MassWIC. Learn more.

ConnectorCare: ConnectorCare healthplan insurance cardholders receive free Exhibit Halls admission for themselves. All cardholders must show their card at entry for access. This offer cannot be combined with the WIC and EBT Card free entry. A collaboration between the Mass Cultural Council and the Massachusetts Health Connector. Learn more.

AZA and ASTC

The Museum of Science participates in the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) reciprocal program and Association of Science-Technology Centers (ASTC) passport program. Our members can use their membership card for free or discounted admission to nearly 500 zoos, aquariums, and science centers worldwide. In addition, members of institutions that participate in these reciprocity programs can visit us for free! For more information on the Reciprocal Admission program visit mos.org/reciprocity. Upon arrival, please present your membership directly at the Exhibit Halls entrance (up to 4 people, depending on level of membership).

Library Passes

Many libraries offer individuals passes for free or discounted Exhibit Halls admission. You need to reserve a pass for the date you want to visit and then pick it up at your local library or download it digitally from the library website. Contact your local library for more details!
