Volunteer Opportunities

Our Museum Volunteer Program serves as a cornerstone of our commitment to innovation and generosity, inviting members of our external community to actively contribute to our mission of enriching visitor experiences and fostering engagement. Through service-oriented roles, volunteers play a vital role in driving our institution's growth, promoting inclusivity, and creating memorable experiences.

Classic Volunteers

Classic Volunteers are our traditional program volunteers 18 years or older. They sign up for a 4 month commitment assisting an MOS department or support an MOS event/one-off opportunity.

Youth Volunteers

Youth Volunteers are individuals 14-19 years old and in high school. This also includes any of our specialty groups/community partners that collaborate bringing in high school groups to volunteer.

Research Volunteers are brought to us by our Research & Development team. Working with an institutional laboratory, these volunteers collaborate in completing research in conjunction with the Museum of Science.

Partnership Volunteers come through various avenues. Whether an episodic partner bringing in a new exhibit like All Aboard! Or one of our fantastic corporate partners engaging in volunteerism.
