Did you know that there’s an underwater national park? NOAA’s Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary is an 842 square mile area 20 miles from Boston, Massachusetts. Located off the coast of Cape Cod, the bank is an underwater extension of the cape. Currents and tides in the area create a large amount of biodiversity, which in turn makes it an important feeding ground for endangered right whales! The sanctuary’s goal is to become accessible to everyone, not just those with boats, as well as to keep the whales safe. Would you visit this incredible oceanic location?
