When a small ember is held above a test tube of liquid oxygen, the oxygen reignites the ember. This is because while oxygen itself is not flammable, it does help flames burn stronger. And when that ember is dropped into the concentrated pool of oxygen molecules inside the test tube, it ignites into an amazing show of sparks!
