See Saturn and a Partial Lunar Eclipse in the Night Sky

Your September night sky forecast is here! In the Americas, Europe, and Western Africa, look for a partial lunar eclipse on September 17 and 18. The Northern edge of the Moon will darken as it passes through Earth’s shadow. This is a fun precursor to the total lunar eclipse next March! And everywhere else, keep an eye out for a great view of Saturn all month long. Earth will be passing between Saturn and the Sun, meaning the planet will rise at sunset, and set at dawn.
