Did you know that we won’t be able to see Saturn’s rings starting in 2025? Like Earth, Saturn has a tilt that gives it seasons, but its seasons last for seven whole years! During its summer and winter, Saturn tilts so that we have an amazing view of its rings. But during its spring and fall, the tilt is such that Saturn’s rings are basically rendered invisible to us on Earth. This is because Saturn’s rings are much wider than they are thin: they are 175,000 miles across, but only a few hundred feet thick. But don’t worry, once Saturn’s seasons change back we’ll be able to see the rings again!
