NASA’s Asteroid Simulation Alarms Internet

What would happen if a giant asteroid were heading towards Earth? NASA recently ran a simulation of a scenario where an asteroid had a 72% chance of hitting the Earth in the next 14 years! Their goal was to work with agencies in the U.S. and around the world to better prepare for what we could do if such a situation were to occur. However, some people on the Internet mistakenly believed that the asteroid was real, and rumors started to spread that we were in big trouble. But don’t worry, no such asteroid exists right now, and we are totally safe!
