NASA SPHEREx Launches! Mission to Map 450 Million Galaxies

NASA has officially launched SPHEREx, a small but powerful space telescope designed to map the entire sky in just two years! This compact observatory will observe 450 million galaxies beyond the Milky Way and 100 million stars within our galaxy to help scientists explore the large-scale structure of the universe and study key ingredients for life, like carbon, oxygen, and water.
