What lies beyond a black hole? In this video, Jack Antonoff and MIT’s David Kaiser discuss a number of theories in the lastest Sing for Science podcast episode. They begin with the fact that time passes more slowly the closer you are to a black hole, which is why we lose the ability to track what happens to anything that falls into a black hole. Then, they move onto the connection between death and black holes, and whether there could be black holes that our souls enter when we die. They also touch on the theory that black holes could be portals to another universe. The unique challenge of black hole theories is that they can’t be proven or disproven - there’s no way to know what exists inside, or on the other side of them!
