What does a day in the life look like for a neuroscience PhD researcher? Lindsay Ejoh describes her day working in a lab studying the neurobiology of physical pain. She does data analysis with her undergrad mentee, as well as runs experiments recording brain cells’ reactions to the body’s natural opioids. However, at the end of the day she realizes that she needs to replan her whole experiment, doubling the amount of work she needs to do. But she comforts herself by talking with her family, including her aunt who just received her own honorary doctorate in geology!
