Have we reached the limits of the human lifespan? In this video, Insoo Hyun, Bioethicist and Director of the Center for Life Sciences at the Museum of Science, breaks down the latest research. The speed at which we are able to extend our lifespan is slowing, from 2.5 years of improvement per decade in 1990, to only 1.5 years of improvement per decade in the 2010s. This indicates that dramatic increases to human life extension are unlikely unless we find a way to slow down biological aging!
