Full Moon Meets Leo in the Night Sky!

What constellation will February’s full moon pass through? This year’s Snow Moon will be seen in the constellation Leo. On February 12 you can see it next to the star at Leo’s heart, Regulus, or the “Little King.” In Greek mythology, Leo represents the Nemean lion that was defeated by Hercules. It has also been used by sailors to navigate the seas. However, because of the brightness of the Moon, the other stars in Leo will be more difficult to see until the Moon begins waning!
