Where do Amazon milk frogs get their name? Museum Educator Jason explains how these amphibians secrete a milky substance from their skin that is toxic enough to make predators sick. This substance comes from their pores, and they then use their hands to rub it all over their bodies. This milky secretion also helps them to avoid drying out during hot dates, which allows them to be one of the few species of frog that bask in the sun!
