Fireball Alert! Don’t Miss the Alpha Centaurids

What meteor shower will light up the skies in February? The Alpha Centaurids are best seen from the Southern Hemisphere! However, they may also be seen in the Northern Hemisphere from locations including Florida, Texas, and southern Asia. They will peak after midnight on Saturday, February 8 with up to 6 meteors per hour, and the potential to glimpse an extra-bright fireball! For the best chance to view the Alpha Centaurids, find a dark place away from city light pollution and give your eyes time to adjust to the dark.
