Don’t Miss the Final Supermoon of 2024

When are supermoons most visible? Supermoons will appear biggest and brightest at moonrise, which will happen around sunset this month. This is the last supermoon until October 2025, and the last in a series of four consecutive supermoons - a relatively rare celestial occurrence! Supermoons occur when the Moon is full at perigee, which is the closest point in its orbit to Earth. November’s supermoon peaks on the 15th but can be seen through the 18th. It is known alternately as the Beaver Moon, the Leaf Fall Moon, and the They Give Thanks Moon.
