What meteor shower graces our skies in October? The Draconids, which peak on October 7, are known to be unpredictable. Some years, they produce a modest 10 meteors per hour. Other years, their parent comet produces a meteor storm. The Draconids are also ideal for skywatchers because they appear earlier in the evening, usually just after moonset at 9 pm.
