How can household waste become sustainable pots for growing seedlings? In this video, Maynard Okereke shows how biodegradable household waste can be repurposed as eco-friendly nursery planters. First, old paper can be rolled into a cylindrical shape and used as a planter. Cracked eggshells can also hold seedlings, as long as there is a hole poked in the bottom for drainage. Finally, an old toilet paper roll can become a pot when the bottom is cut into flaps and folded over. Using these zero waste alternatives helps cut back on the 79% of non-biodegradable plastic in landfills!
