The Perseverance rover found a rock that is extremely worn down by eons of wind erosion, but it looks like Perseverance has found the remnants of a strong, fast-flowing river that once fed water into Jezero Crater. This is the first time we’ve found evidence suggesting such a powerful waterway. And since, technically, no one can stop me, I’m personally going to call it the Martian Mississipi.
