Are we one step closer to proving the existence of past life on Mars? NASA’s Perseverance Rover recently found possible leopard spots on a Martian rock. On Earth, leopard spots are a sign of microbes causing a chemical reaction on a rock. However, because Mars is different from Earth more evidence is needed to prove that the leopard spots don’t have an inorganic origin.
