How does a Deaf DJ use technology to help mix songs? Dre, AKA DJ Deaf Tunez, always wanted to be a DJ because of his love of music. When he DJs, his hearing aids are actually off. Instead of listening to the songs, he uses a technology called Matching Speed on his laptop to help synchronize the beats of the songs he plays by giving a numerical assignment to each song’s tempo.
