Would you lie on a bed of nails? In this video, Museum Educators Emily and Jeannine demonstrate the physics behind this thrilling experiment: when you lie across a bed of over 1,000 sharp nails, pressure and force will spread across all of the nails, making it so you barely feel their sharpness. Even if you add more pressure, for example by breaking a cinder block across your chest, the experiment remains safe. This amazing feat demonstrates physics in action!
