How are our animal ambassadors celebrating the Museum of Science’s 195th birthday? They’re enjoying birthday-themed enrichment treats! Enrichment is important for animals living under human care because in the wild they would not be eating the same thing every day in the same way. So in honor of this momentous occasion, we’re giving our blue jay Cobalt a cardboard cake with his favorite toys and treats, our leopard tortoise Frances a cake made of lettuce and carrots, and our prehensile-tailed porcupine Guillermo tiny cakes made out of his regular diet!
