35,000-Year-Old Saber-Toothed Cub Found

Have you ever wondered what a baby saber-toothed cat would look like? Researchers in Russia recently found a 35,000 year old saber-toothed cub in melting Siberian permafrost! This kitten differed significantly from modern lion cubs in that it had an unusual muzzle with a big mouth and small ears, a large neck, longer front limbs, and darker fur. Overall, melting permafrost because of climate change is not good news, but it can reveal amazing specimens like this saber-toothed cub!
