BOSTON, MA — The Museum of Science, Boston proudly announces the return of its enchanting seasonal exhibit, All Aboard! Trains at Science Park, set to open on November 20 and run through January 20, 2025. Bigger and more magical than before, the expanded exhibit features miniature landscapes with model trains and new interactive experiences that will delight visitors of all ages.

All Aboard! Trains at Science Park transports guests into a whimsical world where powered model trains of various scales wind through vibrant, intricately crafted scenes. Expert model makers, including John Goodson of The Mandalorian fame, have spent countless hours creating stunning details, from tiny trees to beloved Boston landmarks like the Museum of Science, the Custom House, and the iconic Zakim Bridge.

This year, floor-to-ceiling projections immerse visitors in a wintery wonderland as they explore the model train displays and hands-on activities. A larger and enhanced area for young learners features a child-sized locomotive and ticket booth, table-top train sets, and the chance to drive a virtual train through a snowy mountain landscape. Additionally, visitors can conduct their own train symphony and admire a scale model of the Museum of Science, constructed by local university students.

All Aboard! Trains at Science Park has become a cherished holiday tradition for our guests,” said Tim Porter, senior vice president of exhibits, research & collections at the Museum of Science. “This year, we’ve pulled out all the stops to create a magical experience that celebrates the joy of the season through complex train models and interactive activities to delight our visitors of all ages.”

Complementing the exhibit, the Museum will offer guests more holiday-themed fun in its theaters. The Mugar Omni Theater will be showing the captivating film Train Time, while the 4-D Theater will delight audiences with the classic Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer 4-D.

All Aboard! Trains at Science Park was made possible through a collaboration with the Hub Division, Inc., of the Northeast Region (NER) of the National Model Railroad Association (NMRA).
