Don’t miss Arianna Huffington, founder and CEO of Thrive Global, as she comes to the Museum of Science for one night only, in conversation with Dr. Regina Barzilay, Faculty Lead at MIT’s Jameel Clinic for Machine Learning in Health, moderated by Dr. Insoo Hyun, Director of the Center for Life Sciences at the Museum of Science. Together they will share about their respective groundbreaking work, highlighting how AI is being utilized across fields, sectors and industries with the shared goal of improving health outcomes for all.

The U.S. is the highest spending country worldwide when it comes to health care – at 17.3% of the nation’s GDP – yet ranks last overall in health outcomes among high-income countries. Experts have identified several key approaches to addressing this problem, among them the need to address lifestyle factors, promote healthy behaviors among communities, and improve preventative care. Given its enormous potential for social change and healthcare innovation, does artificial intelligence (AI) have a role to play in advancing these key health strategies? How can AI help nudge Americans to adopt more healthy behaviors? How might AI help patients avoid cancer through early detection?

  • Join Huffington and Dr. Barzilay to explore exciting new ways in which AI can be used to empower individuals to promote their own health and well-being—
Hear about Arianna Huffington’s efforts to create a personalized AI “health coach” that will improve health by changing the way people work, live, eat, and connect with one other.
  • Learn how Regina Barzilay’s personal experience with breast cancer inspired her to create an algorithm that can predict women’s risk of breast cancer better than radiologists.

Don’t miss this special evening of dialogue, exploring the potential of AI to improve human health and well-being in revolutionary new ways.
