Hosted by the Museum of Science and the New England Aquarium  

On Friday, October 18 and Saturday, October 19, 2024, the Museum of Science, Boston and the New England Aquarium are co-hosting a Youth Climate Summit, convening 100 high-schoolers for 1.5 days of behind-the-scenes climate science programming and action across multiple engaging session formats.  

In the spirit of the day, all museum visitors are welcome to drop in on the morning presentations listed below, visit the Champions for Environmental Justice Showcase in the afternoon, explore permanent exhibits featuring messages of climate resilience, such as Arctic Adventure and Innovation Earth, and view the artistic installations inspired by youths’ attitudes toward Climate Change.  

More About the Event

This event is modeled after the Youth Climate Summit started by The Wild Center, a science museum in upstate New York. The Wild Center’s Youth Climate Program works globally to convene and empower young people to implement climate action plans in their schools and communities through Youth Climate Summits. Our event will join a network of over 60 sites around the world that have hosted a Youth Climate Summit inspired by this model. We are part of a powerful network of young people around the world who are learning about climate change and implementing climate action plans.
