Our Exhibit Halls are temporarily closed. In the meantime, please visit MOS at Home for daily live streams, STEM activities, and more.
We all use AI technology to find information every day – directions, restaurant reviews, and much more. What if that AI information came directly from a leading public health scientist on the most important topic of our time right now, COVID-19? COVID-19, or "coronavirus disease 2019," is a disease caused by SARS-CoV-2, a new coronavirus.
Now, thanks to a collaboration with the Museum of Science and Dr. Ashish Jha, one of the country’s leading public health experts, you can ask virtually any question about COVID-19. Through the storytelling technology of StoryFile, Dr. Jha is available to answer your questions virtually during this educator-moderated conversation.
Included with Exhibit Halls admission. Capacity is limited, first-come, first-served
Want to ask Dr Jha some virtual questions before your visit? Check out our MOS at Home version of Ask a Virtual Expert: COVID Conversations with Dr Jha.
While you’re here, be sure to check out a wealth of COVID-related information and interactive experiences throughout the Museum.
In our Hall of Human Life, you can learn about approaches to treating the disease and preventing its spread. You’ll also be able to see COVID outbreaks across the globe and the US over time through our new HealthMap videos.

What changes can you imagine that might make travel safer during the COVID-19 pandemic? In this interactive experience, you can design an MBTA car, school bus, or passenger plane that promotes social distancing. Then, watch your design appear in the animated Boston scene.

Should Massachusetts residents be required to share their location data with local health authorities to help stop the spread of COVID-19?
Science can help us understand many issues, but cannot solve all of them. In this activity, you’ll investigate and make decisions about an important scientific policy question that affects not just ourselves, but our entire community.
