In this presentation, students explore the model sky as it changes due to the effects of Earth’s rotation and orbit. They also observe the Moon in its current phase, and discuss how it changes over time. Later, they learn which planets are currently visible, how to find them and the reasons for the current controversy over how a planet is defined. A 40-minute introductory version is available for multi-grade reservations.
