This moderated online course offers participants the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of engineering design process and physics applications in the classroom through the Engineering the Future® (EtF) curriculum. Participants work through key activities in each of the curriculum's four projects, sharing their questions and customizing implementation plans with colleagues. With scheduled assignments spread over three weeks, time flexibility is provided for reviewing EtF print materials while performing quick-build hands-on activities at home. Group interaction is achieved through weekly discussion forums facilitated by an experienced course developer.
This online course is ideal for teachers limited by travel, or for those who prefer to learn online. Participants should expect to spend six to nine hours per week interacting with course content and activities. For the fullest experience, a small package of five-minute epoxy and a Snap Circuits® electricity kit are recommended but not required; all other materials are typically readily available around the home or office.
This workshop is offered by It's About Time. Registration for this course ends Friday, July 18.
