Temporary Exhibit Freight Farms spearheaded the container farming industry and now has a global network of growers across 41 countries. Thanks to our collaboration, something green is growing in the Blue Wing! Built with the same specifications as standard shipping containers, container farms use hydroponics to bring food production indoors. The small space and stackable design allow for a smaller footprint, and climate and lighting controls mean food can be grown anytime, anywhere. Our onsite farm will supply fresh greens for the animal ambassadors that star in our Live Animal live presentations; see it in action at Science Park! This exhibit is part of the Museum’s Year of the Earthshot, in which the Museum of Science explores the most innovative climate solutions of our times.
